Character: Stahn Aileron
Age: 19
Canon: Tales of Destiny
Canon Point: Right after Hugo's death.
Background: ( WIKI )
Personality:
Having personally grown up within a small town it's understandable that Stahn has a horrible longing to escape. Stahn Aileron grows up within the simple, little town of Linea. He was raised rather rural and ignorant which gives him the sweetest, caring demeanor. Those big blue eyes care a whole lot about his family and friends and that shines deeply through Stahn's wonderful journey, hoping to find fame and adventure by becoming a knight of Seinegald. Within those golden locks you'll find someone rather simple, yet so admiringly compassionate. Even showing remorse for even those who threaten his life, this warrior has some strict pride-- death is your final option.
Charming optimism, that's easily Stahn's personality summary. Though sometimes slightly cowardly towards obviously dangerous tasks he stays rather brave and sees them through. Willing to do just about anything requested of him... which also leads Stahn into new, wild places and people. His journey kickstarts during one of those very events, picking his comrade and weapon-- Dymlos. The former warrior's soul housed in this magical sword Stahn wields, the blond takes whatever advice Dymlos gives out of respect and eventually harbors a powerful friendship with him. What could negatively be said about Mister Aileron is that he's rather loud, persistent and 'an idiot' which comes from that inherent ignorance of being raised rurally. He's often subjected to 'bumpkin' jokes or being called things similar to 'hay seed' because of his upbringing, which he resents. Overall, Stahn's rather genki-- hyper, cute and colorful!
Being rather humble when considering his own abilities, Stahn sees himself rather strong but nothing overly admirable. Feeling those around him, like Garr, are well more prepared for the tasks at hand (though, Stahn's kinda right...) Socially, Stahn finds himself easily occupied with several friendships... all with different and unique types of people. Getting along isn't hard for this Swordian wielder, often being the voice of reason when Ms. Philia Felice can't. Stahn is often keeping Rutee from killing Leon and vice versa as well as keeping Leon in the party in general, giving Philia confidence and working with her insecurities-- all of which come natural for Stahn's compassionate heart, working and earning respect from people like Garr-- a king. That's not forgetting to mention the five talking swords and an ever changing party of personalities when it comes to more "extra" characters. Not once does Stahn ever find himself stressed from the constant social presence around him. What does stress him includes things like considering those around him untrustworthy or the value of another's life. Stahn would never put a price on human life, and is willing to risk his own for anyone and anything he cares about. Trusting even the most rotten of people, hoping that somewhere... deep down they're doing this for even just one positive reason.
Leon Magnus gives the party plenty of hassle with his horrible social abilities and spoiled attitude. Often, Stahn finds himself lecturing Leon on the importance of friendship and whatnot... Eventually, even with that bossy little entitled front, Stahn considers Leon trustworthy and his friend and upon Leon's betrayal Stahn's positive, even after being called a moronic, annoying, pandering hay seed so many countless times, that Leon has been forced into his decision. The party only finds that Stahn was right after Leon gives his life to save them from their impending death. This marks an important chain of deaths that Stahn needs to overcome-- almost like an omen, more people will meet their ends before the this journey is over. During Hugo's final moments Stahn is there holding Rutee back, telling her she shouldn't have to kill her father. Obviously, he doesn't want to see anyone go... This selfless attitude, this moralic justice seeking embodiment, in the end this incapability to kill ends Stahn's own life (kinda..?) during Tales of Destiny 2.
Rutee holds a special relationship with Stahn. Their slapstick, friendship powered relationship holds many of Stahn's key motivators. Mostly, early on, they're stuck together because of their Swordians-- Atwight and Dymlos. This sticks both Rutee and Stahn between a lover's squabble as both of them attempt to greet destiny. Trust was brushed with Leon, and much like with the younger man, his trust with Rutee is extremely similar. Stealing isn't right, 'treasure hunting' for Lens seems an awful lot like robbing people blind but Stahn agrees to help her... He believes her when Rutee claims these lens and this money will go to those that deserve it. Oddly enough, Stahn is proven right when he watches that money go towards keeping Rutee's orphanage financially stable. Stahn's gullible nature mostly leads him into pleasant surprises.
Hot-blooded till the very end, Stahn Aileron is a wonderful protagonist. That care and optimism burns brightly over his friends and family-- keeping them warm with his compassionate embrace. It's not hard to reason how Stahn eventually becomes a father in Tales of Destiny 2, he has so much love to give. Being himself lead him to his fame and fortune but living and experiencing pain, regret and love showed him just want he wanted. With his heart against his sleeve and pride aimed against his enemy, Stahn lives, grows, and meets the fate called destiny.

Character: Dymlos Timber
Background: ( WIKI )
Mieu is applicable, so Dymlos should be applicable-- however! Considering the alarming number of people that play Dymlos Timber (that's a joke, son) I request to play him myself, in game.
Stahn's companion has lived longer than your average human being for his soul is now imprisoned within this magical sword. During his time spent human, he was the Division Commander of the 1st Er'ther Army unit during the Aeth'er Wars. The Lieutenant General earned the power against his foes he used this sword he is now imprisoned in-- granting him magical abilities, however... it was powered in exchange for his life which whittled away over time.
Having always been madly in love with Atwight Eks, much like Stahn his need to protect was strong, wanting to end this fighting for his future and the future for his people and comrades. Noble, bold and stubborn, it's hard to change Dymlos's mind. Very fixated on solving his own problems... which, causes him stress to watch his actions be completely controlled by someone else. Apparently, from what we read about him within another characters journal, he wasn't all stern and tough-- having a terrible puppy crush over Ms. Eks, for more than he let on and using his fellow military officers to exchange love letters back and forth with her. Dymlos wasn't without his faults... it seems and his weakness included that of how he felt for other people, which could be a good reason why he liked doing things on his own. His relationship with Stahn reminds me of father and son, giving Stahn harsh but thoughtful, caring criticism. He believes within the strenght that fuels Stahn's beliefs, despite the troubles and antics he's forced into by being wielded by Mister Aileron.
